The Vietnam-Cuba Inter-government Committee on
September 13-17 held the 22nd session focusing on trade, economy,
science and technology.
In the first two working days, the two sides prepared documents for
the official sessions which began from September 15.
In the afternoon of September 15, Cuba’s Economic Minister Ricardo
Cabrisas Ruiz met with Vietnam’s Trade Minister Truong Dinh Tuyen for
the signing of the minutes of the 22nd meeting on September 17.
In his working days in Vietnam, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz held talks with
officials of Vietnam’s Ministries of Planning and Investment,
Healthcare, and Foreign Affairs, and general directors of the Vietnam
Food Corporation No.1 and the Hanel Electronics Com pany to discuss the
exportation of rice and computers to his country.
Ricardo Cabrisass Ruiz was accompanied by officials of Cuba’s
Ministry of Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation and a business
team coming from business fields of trade, banking, biological
technology, etc.
On September 13, representatives from the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce
and Industry and the Cuba Chamber of Commerce signed the minutes on
establishing the Vietnam-Cuba Business Comission in a bid to promote
bilateral trade relation between the two countr ies. Currently, 40
businesses registered to take part in the commission.
